BIB Pick-Up & Day of Registration: Saturday February, 9th 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM Bib Pick-Up will take place @ Run On! by Jack Rabbit located @ W Gray St, Houston, TX 77019 (You may also register the day of the event and pick up your bib under the pavilion starting at 5:30AM)
Parking: There is ample parking in MacGregor park and the surrounding area. We suggest arriving early!!
POST RACE PARTY: Will take place under the pavilion and will conclude with the awards ceremony, complete with a DJ to go with a terrific post race spread that will appease every runner's appetite
Course: 1/2 Marathon will consist of 2 loops starting in the park and traveling out onto Bray's Bayou trail then down and across the Columbia Tap Rail-Trail and back onto Bray's Bayou trail to the park. 10K will consist of the 1/2 course but only 1 loop.1 Mile will be one lap around the park (We are in the process of getting the 1/2 USATF certified) The Course Map can be found here: https://heartandsoleraces.com/superheroes-vs-villains
Aid Stations: We will have aid stations w/a first aid kit, Water and Gatorade Approx; every two miles!! (Also, a few may have some treats as well!!)
Proceeds: Part of the proceeds will benefit the Snow Drop Foundation. They are an amazing charity that has helped numerous children and their families. Please take a second and visit their website: (http://snowdropfoundation.org/)
FEES: Half marathon- 9/1/2018 to 12/1/2018 is $80, then from 12/1/2018 to race evening is $90, day of $95, 10k before 9/1/2018 $30 , $40 before 12/1/2018 then 12/1/2018 to race evening is $45 and $50 Day of race, 1 Mile Family Fun Run is $15
Awards: Top 3 Male & Female to go with top masters Male & Female (40+) There are also age group awards for both male and female runners. The top 5 best costumes will be awarded as well. Teams- Top 2 fastest teams based on time and the top 2 teams with the most participants will receive awards.
Age Groups: (Both 1/2 & 10k) 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
T-Shirts: Amazing race themed Short sleeve tech shirt!! (Two Styles!! One for Villains and one for Heroes!!)
Teams: Create a Team for your family, work or friends!! Teams MUST consist of at least 5 people
Theme: When you register you will be asked if you want to be a VILLAIN or a HERO. There will be two different shirts. One for Villains and one for Heroes!!
Finisher's Medal: A unique Custom Medal will be provide to all participants in both the 1/2 & 10k!!
Finish Line: There will be a live dj/entertainer at the start/finish area during the duration of the race
